Our Higher Education and Careers (HEC) programme supports students as they explore their interests, consider their options and prepare for the opportunities ahead.

Throughout Senior School and Sixth Form, guidance counsellors work closely with students and families, providing practical advice on subject choices, university applications and future plans.

Every student's journey is different. The Wellington HEC programme combines expert guidance, individual support and global perspective. This includes:

Structured Curriculum

A structured HEC curriculum covering university research, application strategy, personal statements, essays and letters of recommendation.

Guiding Students

Subject selection support guides students through IGCSE and A Level choices that align with their interests and long-term goals. 

One-to-One

One-to-one counselling for students and parents, offering tailored advice on course selection, extracurricular planning and admissions testing.

University Prep

University exposure through campus visits, an annual university fair and interview preparation, as well as support for SAT, ACT, Oxbridge and other global admissions requirements.

Parent Engagement

Parent engagement through regular presentations on international admissions trends and country-specific application processes.
