Senior School

Where Ambition Takes Shape.

Our Senior School offers a rigorous and forward-looking education, combining the depth and structure of the British-based curriculum with a broad appreciation of global scientific, linguistic and cultural traditions.

Students are encouraged to engage deeply with their subjects, test ideas and apply their understanding in meaningful contexts, both within and beyond the classroom. A rich co-curricular programme complements academic study by supporting wellbeing, leadership and community engagement.

Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9)

Key Stage 3 offers a broad, ambitious curriculum that depends understanding within each discipline while building the habits of effective learning. This phase emphasises the development of core disciplinary knowledge alongside essential skills in analysis, communication and intellectual enquiry.

Finding Their Strengths

Through Years 7 and 8, students grow in confidence and intellectual discipline. They learn to organise their work, articulate their reasoning and grapple with increasingly complex material across the full range of subjects.

Year 9 is a turning point. With the support from teachers and pastoral staff, students take stock of what they enjoy and where they excel and choose the IGCSE subjects they will carry into Key Stage 4.

Years 10–11: IGCSE Programme

In Key Stage 4, students follow a carefully balanced IGCSE programme. They work towards externally assessed and internationally recognised qualifications.

All students study a core of essential subjects:
  • English Language and English Literature

  • Mathematics

  • Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Alongside core studies, students select optional subjects that reflect their individual interests and strengths. Typically, students follow:

  • Six core IGCSE subjects

  • Three optional IGCSE subjects from a broad and balanced range

  • Additional non-examined enrichment subjects, such as Physical Education

This structure provides strong academic foundations while enabling students to make informed choices before advancing to Sixth Form.
