| Do students need to be proficient in English to attend Wellington College International Lagos? |
| Yes. As English is the primary language of instruction, students are expected to demonstrate an age-appropriate level of spoken and written English that will enable them to access the curriculum successfully. Non-native English-speaking applicants from Year 1 onwards may be asked to complete an English as an Additional Language (EAL) assessment to determine whether any additional language support is required. |
| Can Wellington College International Lagos support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? |
| We assess each application individually to determine whether Wellington College International Lagos can meet a student's educational needs, with reasonable adjustments where appropriate. Parents are required to submit all relevant educational psychologist reports, individual education plans (IEPs), and medical documentation for review by the Headmaster. In general, places are offered to students who can participate successfully in a mainstream classroom setting with limited additional support. All known learning support needs must be fully disclosed at the time of application, as failure to do so may affect admission. |
